This is an annual program that creates a
platform for Nigerian youths from the six (6) geo political zones of Nigeria
who are IT neophytes and gurus, associated with the intriguing world of
Information Communication Technology to compete and test their technical
skills. NACOSS National Conference is a program targeted towards enlightening,
empowering and exposing Nigerian youths and their talent to a community of IT
experts and users with the singular aim of stimulating the ‘can-do’ spirit that
will drive the Nigerian economy.
This year conference theme is: “Information Technology
Innovations For Economic Diversification: The Role of Youths”.
The National Conference is an annual event
that bring students from all areas of Information communication and Technology
(ICT) such as Computer Sciences, Computer Engineering, Electrical / Electronic
Engineering, Information Technology Engineering and its related field from all
Institutions in Nigeria and across west Africa to develop and empower
themselves with global Software knowledge as strategic instrument for
facilitating and building skilled capacities for self-reliance, wealth creation
and national security - applying global Information, Communications Technology
Best Practices.

The conference program includes the following
activities, to mention but a few.
1) Paper presentations from seasoned speakers and resource persons.
2) Plenary Sessions: This is to motivate, enlighten and educate ICT undergraduates on how to create jobs and wealth in Nigeria.
3) Exhibition/Workshops & Networking sessions: This is to initiate and sustain a conducive atmosphere for entrepreneurs to maximize the opportunities presented by the Federal Government of Nigeria.
4) Experience Sharing: This is an interactive session that would include the biography of success stories of men and women who started from the scratch and turned their rejection into celebration.
5) Software Exhibition and Programming Contest between schools: To encourage youths that have leveraged on their intellectual property on major key ICT areas (Graphics, Software applications, Network design, Animation and Flash Movie presentation etc.) and help them maximize the commercial equivalence.
6) Other Competitions include: Hacking, Graphics and Hardware, programming contest
7) IT Quiz Competition among Secondary Schools in Nigeria:
8) Job fair with Accenture/New Horizon/ Comptia/ SAP/ Microsoft/Google
